Four brothers. Four distinct styles. One shared passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

The McBeth Brothers are young competitors from Carlsbad, New Mexico, with more than 60 combined medals across IBJJF, NAGA, AGF, and UFC BJJ Open competitions. All four have also competed at ADCC. Training together and supporting one another, they proudly represent Second Grip Jiujitsu, Team LEAD Brazilian Jiujitsu, and PHENOM.

IAN “THE BEAST” McBETH | AGE 11

Started training in 2020 | UFC BJJ Open Double Gold Champion

Off the mats, Ian is big-hearted, outgoing, and quick to make friends. He stands up for others and believes nobody should be left behind.

On the mats, “The Beast” brings power, aggression, and relentless pressure, with the punch choke as his favorite submission. A three-time NAGA Expert Division Champion with five IBJJF podium finishes and two UFC BJJ Open gold medals, Ian shows that a big heart and a fierce competitive spirit go hand in hand.

LOGAN “KILLER CRICKET” McBETH | AGE 10

Started training in 2021 | 9 Gold Medals

Previously known as “Tiny,” Logan has often faced bigger opponents and entered Expert divisions to find matches. Those challenges have helped shape his clever, technical approach.

An escape artist who refuses to stay pinned, “Killer Cricket” keeps working his way out of difficult positions and hunting for his favorite submission, the bow-and-arrow choke. His accomplishments include IBJJF gold, a NAGA Expert Division championship, and three UPP superfight victories.

CORBIN “COJO THE CHECKMATE” McBETH | AGE 9

Started training in 2025 | AGF & NAGA Medalist

Gentle, quirky, and always ready to make someone laugh, Corbin brings plenty of personality to the team. Once he steps onto the mats, that playful energy becomes a calm, calculated focus.

“Cojo the Checkmate” is always thinking a move ahead and looking for an armbar—from mount, bottom, or even a triangle. With four podium finishes, Corbin is developing his own style and making his mark.

OWEN “WILD CARD” McBETH | AGE 7

Started training in 2025 | UFC BJJ Open Silver Medalist

The youngest competing McBeth brother brings an expressive personality and an unpredictable style. Affectionate and full of energy, Owen keeps his family—and his opponents—guessing.

Fearless and incredibly flexible, “Wild Card” is ready to attack a guillotine whenever an opening appears. With nine medals, including silver at the UFC BJJ Open, he is already building a competitive journey of his own.

MORE THAN BROTHERS. TEAMMATES.

The McBeth Brothers compete individually, but they are always in each other’s corners. Each brings his own strengths to the mats, united by family, hard work, and a love for the sport.
