My name is Dominique Natalia Gutierrez, and I am a 25-year-old Purple Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete currently competing in the Adult Female Middleweight division and training with Diverso Academy.

Competition has been a major part of my BJJ journey from the beginning. I began competing as a White Belt, continued competing extensively throughout Blue Belt, and have now progressed to Purple Belt.

My competitive experience includes both Gi and No-Gi, multiple weight divisions, Open Class/Absolute competition, and events ranging from local tournaments to some of the largest stages in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

My journey has included the IBJJF World Jiu-Jitsu Championship, IBJJF World No-Gi Championship, multiple appearances at IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu CON, numerous IBJJF International Opens and Championships, and Fight To Win.

Throughout that journey, I have earned multiple IBJJF championship titles and podium finishes, including Gold Medals in both weight and Open Class divisions. I have also gained valuable experience through the matches that did not end with a medal, including competing against high-level athletes at Worlds and in a closely contested Fight To Win match.

I believe those experiences are just as important to my development. I am willing to step onto difficult stages, test myself against strong competition, learn from every result, and continue coming back better.

Competition is a major part of who I am as an athlete. Every tournament gives me another opportunity to test myself, develop technically and mentally, and become a stronger and more complete competitor.

Now, as a Purple Belt, my goal is to continue competing consistently at major IBJJF events, pursue significant titles at my new belt level, grow my presence within the sport, and represent the businesses and brands supporting my journey on increasingly larger stages.
